For investigating and evaluating vast amounts of scientific data, bibliometric analysis is a well-liked and exacting technique. It allows us to explore the subtleties of a particular field's evolutionary history while illuminating its frontiers. However, its use in historical research is still somewhat young and frequently undeveloped. As a result, we want to provide an overview of the bibliometric analysis and methodology to some extent. To this purpose, we also clarify how applying bibliometric analysis makes review analysis simpler in comparison to other related strategies like meta-analysis and systematic literature reviews.
