In this paper I first introduce about the plain English language and legalese such as the definition, history of plain English language and legalese. The next is about the characteristics of both the legalese and plain English language. The plain English language is an easily understandable language even by the layman which is also called as layman’s language. The legalese is an important language regarding the law. The people learning law must be known by the legalese. Hence, this research paper enable the readers to understand about the characteristics of legalese and plain English language.
