Improving healthcare in India through m-Health: A healthcare professional perspective

Abstract
Public Health in India has great opportunity for improvement and its improvisation progress compared to the other sectors is low. The objective of this study is to understand the acceptance of m-Health at user level. I had surveyed the Healthcare professionals including who could be the potential user of m-health to understand their view, need, acceptance for m-health through a multiple structured questionnaire including 1) use of smart phone2) missed daily dose3) lost prescription slips data4) their perception about m-health in terms of improving healthcare 5) Key challenges and required action steps 6) m-heath in regional language and their willingness to pay for m-health. The respondents answered affirmatively in these proportions where 100 % has the phone out of that 40% has smart phone motivated that m-health can be taken to the last mile of the country. The survey has also highlighted the key challenges which a beneficiary can face due and possible steps to overcome the challenges.
