Women empowerment and gender equality

Abstract
Our constitution of India provides the Right to Equality to citizens of India, which means both men and women are equal. The socio economic Empowerment of Women is the need of hour. In Preamble of the Constitution the equality of status and opportunity as well, as the justice social, economic and political. Under Art 21 it provides the the Right to life includes the Right to social security protection of family and evev duty to preserve. Under the Directive Principles of State policy and Art 15(4) and 16 (3) the constitution provides the state shall secure and provide 1. To all citizens equal both men and women 2. Equal pay for equal work 3. Children are given facilities to develop The position of Indian women is not much better than in comparing the others states of world. The constitutional Principles of Fundamental rights and Directive principles of state policy clearly establish the intention of the framers of the constitution to improve the social economic political status of the women It is the duty of the centre and the state to provide the Equal status of women not only in society but also in social, economic and political aspects to achieve the empowerment of women.
