The present study was an attempt to explore majorcauses of divorce among Muslim Women in Kashmir. The sample was selected through multi stage sampling technique. For the sample 600 divorcee women were selected from urban and rural areas of Kashmir. The sample was collected with the help of self-constructed questionnaire. The study shows that rejection by husband was the main reason for taking divorce among most of the women. The findings revealed that there has been also contribution of in-laws in divorce. Majority of divorcee women found nobody provide them moral support.
