2-Anisilidene pyridine and 2-Anisilidene pyrimidine (Schiff base) with the metal ion Cu(II), Co(II), Fe(III) are subjected to study as a antibacteral agent taking different species of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. Antibacterial activities of metal complex of 2- Anisilidene pyridine and 2-Anisilidene pyrimidine showed better inhibition against tested bacterial strain and higher compared to parent ligand.
