This paper focuses on hegemonic control of the West and how the Westerners established hegemonic control over Non-Westerners. It sheds light on how Westerners portrayed themselves as a superior race of the world. Through Orientalism Edward Said throws light on the practices which were employed for establishing superiority of ‘the West’ over ‘the Orients’.
